Privacy policy
Effective October 17, 2026. PDF Tower is built so that your documents never reach us. This policy explains the little we do collect.
What we never receive
The contents of the files you open, the entries you type into forms, your signatures and your autofill profile stay on your device. The PDF engine runs in your browser, and form entries and the autofill profile are saved only in your browser's storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
What we collect
Account and plan: if you buy a plan, the email address you give at checkout, your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its status and renewal date.
Sign-in: a signed cookie that keeps you signed in on a device, and, if you ask to sign in on another device, a one-time link sent to your email.
Usage events: a small set of anonymous events (for example "fill started", "paywall shown", "download completed") with the form or tool name, page type, plan and device type, tied to a random identifier stored in your browser. These go to our own server first, which removes your IP address and keeps only the referring site's domain before passing them to our self-hosted analytics. Events never include document contents, form entries or file names.
Standard hosting logs kept by our hosting provider for security and operations.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach PDF Tower. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data Stripe processes.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the site and our server functions. Stripe processes payments and runs the billing portal. Maileroo delivers sign-in emails. Our analytics run on our own server. We do not sell personal information and we do not use advertising trackers.
Official form copies
For some state forms, PDF Tower fetches the issuer's blank form through our server so your browser can open it; nothing you type is involved, and we do not keep a copy.
Retention
We keep account and subscription records while your plan is active and as long as needed afterwards for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. Usage events are kept in aggregate for product decisions.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account information by writing to support@pdftower.com; we may need to keep billing records the law requires. Depending on where you live (for example in California or the European Union) you may have additional rights, and we will honor them.
Children
PDF Tower is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
